Welcome to Yari Talk. Yari Talk ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Yari Talk mobile application and website. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a safe, secure, and compliant environment for all our users. This Privacy Policy details the types of information we collect, how we use and protect it, and your rights regarding your personal data.

By signing up, accessing, or using our mobile application or website (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

To provide our voice and video calling features, virtual gifts, and payout options, we collect the following categories of information:

• Account Registration & Credentials: We collect your mobile number during sign-up to authenticate your account via a secure One-Time Password (OTP). This helps prevent spam, bot accounts, and duplicate registrations.
• Profile Details: Display name/nickname, gender, date of birth (to verify age eligibility), bio, and profile photos. These details are visible to other users on the platform.
• KYC Verification Information (Hosts Only): To comply with financial regulations and verify host identity, we collect government-issued ID proofs (such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, or Voter ID), legal names, and selfie photographs. This information is strictly encrypted and used solely for identity verification and anti-fraud purposes.
• Payment & Settlement Details: We process all recharges through secure, encrypted third-party payment gateways (e.g., Razorpay). We do not store credit card numbers, CVVs, or net banking passwords. For host payouts, we collect bank account numbers, IFSC codes, and UPI IDs.
• Call Logs & Room Metadata: We log call metadata, including caller/receiver IDs, start time, end time, total call duration, call type (voice/video), and rates. We do **not** record or listen to the audio or video streams of your calls. Call metadata logs are kept for a maximum of 60 days for billing, audit, and security reasons.
• Chat History & Media: Text messages, photos, and virtual gifts sent inside chat rooms are temporarily stored on our servers. For user privacy and data minimization, all chat history and chat media are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers after 7 days.
• Device & Network Data: IP address, device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (IMEI/UUID), and push notification tokens.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

• Service Delivery: Establishing real-time voice and video calls, managing active call states, and transferring text messages/virtual gifts.
• Billing & Wallet Management: Deducting coins from the user's wallet in real-time, calculating platform/host revenue shares, and keeping track of transaction history.
• KYC & Trust Compliance: Verifying host identity, preventing under-age use, and blocking suspended or ban-evading hosts.
• Payout Processing: Verifying and settling bank payouts for hosts.
• Security & Moderation: Monitoring and stopping harassment, nudity/obscenity policy violations, and financial fraud.
• Push Notifications: Sending incoming call alerts, call disconnect notifications, wallet recharge receipts, and account suspension warnings.

3. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We only share information with trusted third parties under strict confidentiality terms:

• Payment Gateways: Razorpay processes financial transaction logs securely.
• FCM Services: Firebase Cloud Messaging is used to deliver real-time push alerts.
• Agora RTC: Agora API is used to establish real-time voice and video streams. Agora processes temporary stream traffic but does not record or store your call audio/video content.
• Legal Compliance: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or government authority to prevent illegal activities or protect platform security.

4. Data Retention & Purging

We practice data minimization and automatically purge ephemeral user data to safeguard your privacy:

• Chat History & Media: Automatically and permanently deleted from our servers after 7 days.
• Call Logs & Billing Logs: Automatically and permanently deleted from our servers after 60 days.
• KYC Documents: Retained securely in encrypted storage as long as the host's account remains active, and deleted upon account termination or verification denial.

5. Data Security

We employ industry-standard secure communication protocols (HTTPS, WSS, SSL/TLS) and database encryption to safeguard your data. While we implement strict technical measures, no method of transmission over the internet or database storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy (18+ Policy)

Yari Talk is strictly for users **18 years of age and older**. We do not knowingly collect, store, or process information from minors. If we discover that an account belongs to a minor under 18, we will permanently terminate the account and purge all associated data immediately.

7. User Rights & Account Deletion

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your profile data. You can delete your account directly through the mobile application settings, which will permanently remove your profile details, chat histories, and KYC documentation from our active databases.
